Services We Offer: Clinic Services

We provide comprehensive professional treatment in the areas of rehabilitation counseling, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, nursing, speech, podiatry and nutrition. Services are delivered with the goal of enhancing the quality of life of the people we serve, and facilitating the individual's ability to make informed choices, express needs and preferences, set goals, expand competencies, and cope with and adjust to the issues of daily life.

Staff includes a Medical Director, Treatment Coordinator, Licensed Psychologist, Podiatrist, Behavioral Therapists, Rehabilitation Counselors, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers, Nurses, and Registered Dieticians. We work closely with the Dutchess County Department of Mental Hygiene in order to coordinate treatment for people requiring mental health services. Our therapists provide treatment in our Vocational Centers; and as appropriate, in people's homes and at their work sites. Any person with a developmental disability documented before age 22 is eligible for services. Assessment as well as ongoing therapy can be provided for a variety of purposes including the establishment of need for guardianship.

During the summer months the Dutchess ARC Article 16 Clinic utilizes a Therapy Garden to offer a creative approach to building strength and balance in a serene environment.  We have been fortunate enough to receive a large assortment of plants through a generous donation from the Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardner program.

While we appreciate all of the support from the community that we receive, Dutchess ARC understands the importance in giving back to the community we serve.  The Dutchess ARC Article 16 Clinic recently participated in the Freedom Plains Presbyterian Church "Christmas in August" event by donating a surplus of binders.  These binders were given to children going back to school in the community at no cost.
